Diseases We Treat

Our highly skilled surgical team treats all varieties of colon and rectal disease including:

  • Crohn's disease
  • hemorrhoids
  • ulcerative colitis
  • indeterminate colitis
  • bowel incontinence
  • colorectal cancer
  • irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • familial adenomatous polyposis
  • chronic constipation.

We also perform routine colorectal cancer screening.

We're Here for You

Our dedicated staff is here to address any questions and concerns you may have. Patients who may be undergoing ostomy or pouch surgery receive ongoing support from our enterstomal therapist, she is available to offer helpful advice regarding the care of a stoma or pouch. 

Where We Practice

For your convenience, we are affiliated with four teaching hospitals: the University of Louisville Hospital, Norton Hospital, Kosair Children's Hospital, and UofL Health Jewish Hospital. 

State-of-the-Art

The Section of Colon & Rectal Surgery is involved in state-of-the-art clinical trials of the latest medicines and surgical techniques.
